Function of a PDC sensor
The parking aid is activated when reverse gear is engaged. As information for the driver, the distance is indicated by a recurring warning tone. This indicates to the driver the distance remaining to the obstacle. When reducing the distance to the obstacle, the repetition frequency of the acoustic signal increases.
