Function of a PDC sensor
Ultrasonic sensors are built into the bumpers and function according to the echo sounder principle, which is also used by bats for orientation. The parking sensor 66218368727 sends short ultrasonic pulses that are reflected by any obstacles. From the transit time of the echo signals received again by the sensor, the control unit detects the distance to the obstacle and sends optical-acoustic warning signals to the driver.
Important note: Check the OE number with that of the PDC sensor.
For the usual appearance, the sensor should be painted in the vehicle colour, as it is only primed.
