Tire Pressure Sensors (TPMS / RDKS) — For All Brands and Models
Since November 2014, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS / RDKS) has been mandatory in every newly registered car in the EU. At Electronicx, you'll find over 2,500 TPMS sensors for VW, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Opel, Ford, Renault, Toyota, Hyundai and all other brands — as 433 MHz direct sensors with OE cross-references, pre-programmed and with valve.
What is a Tire Pressure Sensor?
A TPMS sensor is an electronic transmitter inside the tire that measures pressure and temperature and transmits data via radio frequency (433 MHz or 315 MHz) to the vehicle's control unit. When pressure drops by >25%, the system warns the driver via the on-board computer display.
Direct vs. Indirect — Which System?
Direct TPMS: Sensors inside the tire, exact measurement per wheel. Mandatory since 2014.
Indirect TPMS: ABS speed sensors detect uneven rotation. Less accurate.
