Motorcycle batteries in AGM and GEL

Here you will find motorcycle batteries of our own brand Electronicx for motorcycles, scooters, quads and mopeds: in AGM and GEL technology, with 6 V or 12 V and from 2.3 to 29 Ah. Each battery lists the type designations it replaces in the item name, for example YTX9-BS, YTX14-BS, YTZ10S, YB14L-A2 or 12N7-3A.

How to find the right battery

• By vehicle: Use the motorcycle search on this page to select the make, model and year of your motorcycle or scooter.
• By your old battery: In the battery finder on this page you can search by the type or battery number of your old battery, by dimensions and by polarity.
• Type designation: The quickest way to find a replacement is the designation on your old battery. Enter it in the search or compare it with the item name.
• Voltage: 12 V for most motorcycles and scooters, 6 V for older machines and some mopeds.
• Dimensions: Length, width and height must fit the battery holder or battery compartment. The dimensions are given for every item.
• Positive terminal: The positive and negative terminals must be in the same position as on the old battery. An L in the type designation stands for the mirrored terminal layout, for example YTX14L-BS instead of YTX14-BS.
• Capacity (Ah): Choose at least the capacity of the old battery.
• Cold cranking current (CCA): The value in A (EN) should be at least as high as that of the old battery.

AGM or GEL?

Both technologies are sealed and maintenance-free, so you do not need to top up water. AGM batteries deliver high starting currents and are the usual choice for modern motorcycles. GEL batteries cope somewhat better with deep discharge, for example during long periods of standstill. For most motorcycles both fit if dimensions, terminals and performance values match.

Winter break

During the winter break, recharge the battery regularly or connect a maintenance charger that suits the battery technology.

Shipping, statutory warranty and old batteries

Orders received by 14:00 on working days are shipped the same day. Statutory warranty rights apply.

Old batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You can return them free of charge at municipal collection points or to retailers. In Germany, the Battery Act Implementation Law (BattDG) requires a deposit of EUR 7.50 including VAT on starter batteries if no old battery is returned at the time of purchase.
