Function of a PDC sensor
Many obstacles are often not visible when reversing. The sensor-controlled parking aid works with ultrasound and transmits the data obtained to the control unit, which calculates the distance to the obstacle and sends it to the driver by means of optical-acoustic warning signals. If the distance is less than 40 cm, a continuous tone sounds. This makes manoeuvring into a narrow parking space easy.
