TPMS sensors for BMW
Find the right TPMS set for your car
set of 4 from 74,89 € incl. VAT, free shipping within Germany
Select vehicleBy make, model and yearHere you will find tyre pressure sensors for BMW – as a set of 4 or individually, pre-programmed for series and year of manufacture. BMW calls the direct system RDC (Reifen-Druck-Control). The sensors operate at 433 MHz and are learned on the vehicle after installation.
Which TPMS does your BMW have?
BMW distinguishes between two systems. RDC is the direct system with a sensor in each wheel; the vehicle displays the pressure values of the individual wheels. The RPA (Reifen-Pannen-Anzeige) works indirectly via the wheel speed sensors and does not need sensors in the wheel.
You can see which system your BMW has in the "Vehicle info" or "Tyre pressure" menu: if pressure values are displayed per wheel, RDC is installed. You will find the year of manufacture in the vehicle registration document, which you need for the selection.
How to find the right sensor
Our sensors for BMW are each assigned to a model and a year range. The item names state the series and year range, for example "BMW 3 G20/G21 03.2019–10.2025". This also allows you to find the sensor using the internal series designation from your vehicle registration document or the owner's manual.
- Open the vehicle selection and choose BMW, model and year of manufacture.
- Compare the year range in the item name with your vehicle registration document (first registration).
- Choose the valve: rubber valve or metal valve in silver, black or gunmetal.
- For a new set of wheels, take the set of 4; for a single defective sensor, take the individual sensor.
The sensors for BMW operate at 433 MHz and are pre-programmed for the vehicle named in the item name. After installation, they only need to be learned on the car.
Installation and learning on the BMW
The sensors are fitted during the tyre change in the workshop. On many BMW models with RDC, the tyre pressure is then reset in the menu; the vehicle learns the new sensors itself during a short drive. Step-by-step instructions can be found under TPMS sensor learning on BMW and for the 3 Series E90 under E90 learning. Our BMW TPMS FAQ answers frequently asked questions.
Winter wheels: remember the sensors
If your BMW has a direct TPMS, the winter wheel set also needs four functioning sensors. It is best to order the set before the workshop appointment, then the tyre workshop can fit the sensors during the wheel change. Orders placed by 2 pm are dispatched the same working day with DHL; delivery usually takes 1–2 days.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between RDC and RPA on BMW?
RDC is the direct system with sensors in each wheel and displays the pressure values. RPA detects pressure loss indirectly via the wheel speed sensors and does not need sensors.
Do the BMW sensors need to be coded?
No. The sensors are pre-programmed for the specified series. After installation, reset the tyre pressure in the menu; on many models, the vehicle then learns the sensors while driving.
Are the sensors also suitable for BMW winter wheels with steel rims?
Yes, choose the variant with a rubber valve for this. The correct series and year of manufacture are important.
One wheel no longer shows a pressure value – what to do?
First check the air pressure. If the value remains missing, the permanently installed battery of the sensor is usually empty. Then this sensor is replaced and re-learned.
