TPMS tyre pressure sensors for Lynk & Co – safety, comfort & legal obligation
Modern Lynk & Co vehicles – from the 01 through the 02, 03, 05, 06, 08 to the 09 – rely on a direct tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The sensors continuously measure the exact air pressure and temperature in each tyre and report deviations to the instrument cluster in real time. This is not only a matter of driving safety and lower fuel consumption, but has also been a legal requirement for all newly type-approved passenger cars in the EU since November 2014. Faulty sensors, weak batteries or mechanically damaged sensors must be replaced immediately so as not to jeopardise the operating permit and your own safety.
The sensors communicate by radio (433 MHz) with the control unit of your Lynk & Co. After that, the complete sensor units must be replaced, as the batteries are permanently sealed in and cannot be changed individually. Read on to learn all the technical details, compatibilities and special features of your Lynk & Co TPMS sensors.
Your Lynk & Co models with direct TPMS: 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 08, 09
The Geely subsidiary Lynk & Co equips almost all model series with direct TPMS sensors ex works. The most important models with direct pressure measurement include:
- Lynk & Co 01 – compact SUV, also available as a PHEV
- Lynk & Co 02 – crossover coupé, more recent model series
- Lynk & Co 03 – saloon with sporty aspirations
- Lynk & Co 05 – SUV coupé, technically closely related to the 01
- Lynk & Co 06 – compact SUV on the BMA platform, also with hybrid drive
- Lynk & Co 08 – mid-range SUV, successor with modern electronics
- Lynk & Co 09 – large SUV, 7-seater, based on the SPA platform (similar to Volvo XC90)
On all models – whether pure combustion, mild hybrid or plug-in hybrid (PHEV) – the sensors work on the same principle. Differences exist only in the mechanical design (valve angle, tightening torque) and occasionally in the OE references across model changes. In our compatibility matrix you will find the exact assignment for your vehicle. If your Lynk & Co is model year 2026 or newer, please contact us briefly so that we can check that the sensor data is up to date – in most cases, however, the predecessor sensors are identical in design.

The prices given are intended as a guide. Depending on the specific OE reference, valve design and quantity, the final price may vary slightly. All sensors are supplied ready programmed and with a new valve insert. They are ready for immediate installation and, depending on the vehicle, only need to be learned after fitting (see the “Learning procedure” section). For vehicles with indirect TPMS (ABS-based) we of course do not offer sensors, as there the wheel speed is used to monitor pressure. Lynk & Co, however, consistently uses direct systems.
Changing TPMS sensors: what you need to look out for
Replacement is ideally carried out together with a tyre change, as the sensors are mounted from the inside in the wheel rim well.
The following steps are necessary for a professional replacement:
- Remove the tyre: jack up the vehicle, remove the wheel, press the tyre off the rim (machine).
- Remove the old sensor: undo the valve nut, take out the sensor. Dispose of the old sealing ring and valve core.
- Fit the new sensor: clean the sealing surface, fit the new sealing ring, insert the sensor and tighten to the specified torque (4.5 Nm metal / 8 Nm rubber). Do not over-tighten, otherwise the thread will be damaged.
- Fit and balance the tyre: mount the tyre, inflate to the correct pressure (observe the manufacturer's specification, usually 2.2–2.8 bar) and dynamically balance the wheel. This is the only way to avoid vibrations and error messages.
- Learning: depending on the Lynk & Co model, this happens automatically after a short test drive, or you have to use a special tool (OBD learning device). Details in the next chapter.
If you do not have the necessary tools, have the installation carried out by a specialist workshop. However, you can obtain the TPMS sensors themselves from us at low cost and bring them along – this saves you the often high workshop prices for the sensors. Also bear in mind: a faulty sensor can jeopardise the main inspection (HU), as a permanently illuminated warning light on the dashboard counts as a significant defect. You should also have the battery of your TPMS sensors checked at every tyre change. If any weakness is apparent, we recommend the preventive replacement of all four sensors on one axle.
Relearn procedure & coding of the sensors on Lynk & Co
Modern Lynk & Co models (from approx. model year 2020) often use a self-learning system: after fitting the new sensors and a short drive (approx. 10 minutes above 30 km/h), the control unit automatically detects the new IDs and assigns them to the correct wheel positions. No manual intervention is required. Older models and some export variants, on the other hand, require an OBD-based relearn procedure. Here, the sensor IDs are written to the control unit via the OBD interface using a diagnostic device. For this, the workshop must be familiar with the relevant Lynk & Co diagnostic protocol. In no case is manual activation with a magnet or by releasing pressure required, as was customary on older US makes.
Our sensors are supplied pre-programmed specifically for your vehicle and support automatic self-detection. If error messages still occur after the wheel change, please check:
- Correct tyre pressure (specified values on the fuel filler flap or door pillar).
- No electromagnetic interference sources (e.g. faulty ignition coils, strong radio sources).
- Whether the correct sensor for your model year has actually been fitted.
If in doubt, our support team will assist you by phone or email with the exact relearn data for your Lynk & Co model. No additional programming effort is required.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How do I recognise whether my Lynk & Co has a faulty TPMS sensor?
The vehicle normally displays a message such as “Check tyre pressure monitoring system”, “Check tyre pressure” or a flashing TPMS warning light. A permanently illuminated light without a specific pressure loss often indicates a weak sensor battery. A specialist workshop can read out the sensor IDs and battery states with a reader.
Are the sensors for plug-in hybrids (PHEV) identical to those for normal combustion engines?
Yes, the TPMS system does not differentiate by drive type. The sensors on a Lynk & Co 01 PHEV are the same as on the pure petrol model. Only the model year and the control unit generation fitted are decisive.
Can I fit the sensors myself?
In principle yes, provided you have a tyre fitting machine, a torque wrench and ideally a TPMS reader. However, incorrect tightening of the valve nut or insufficient balancing can lead to gradual pressure loss or vibrations. We recommend fitting by a tyre specialist.
Do I have to go to a franchised dealer after replacing the sensor?
Not necessarily. The sensors are self-learning or can be taught in with common diagnostic devices that many independent workshops have. An expensive Lynk & Co franchised dealer is not required.
Do you also deliver abroad?
Yes, we ship to many EU countries and Switzerland. However, shipping abroad is not free of charge. You can see the exact shipping costs during the ordering process. Within Germany we deliver all TPMS sensors free of shipping costs by DHL.
How old are the batteries in the new sensors?
The sensors are produced just-in-time and reach you with a storage time of at most 1–3 months. The battery capacity is therefore practically 100 %.
What should I do if the sensors do not learn in?
First check the tyre pressure, which should be at least 0.2 bar above the recommended value, and drive for 15 minutes at more than 30 km/h. If a warning is still present, call us – often a short adjustment of the diagnostic settings is enough.
